ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 is an exclusive flagship motherboard created for the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Gamers brand. It is based on the AMD X870E chipset and AM5 socket and is ready for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 series desktop processors. The anniversary edition combines extreme power delivery, extensive connectivity, advanced tuning options and a collectible Edition 20 design.

The power delivery uses a 24+2+2 power-stage configuration. VCORE consists of 24 phases rated at 110A, SoC uses 2× 110A and another 2 MISC phases are rated at 80A. Two 8-pin ProCool II power connectors, MicroFine Alloy Chokes, 10K Black Metallic capacitors and massive all-copper VRM cooling are designed for stable operation even under heavy load.

Four DDR5 DIMM slots support Dual Channel operation and a total capacity of up to 256GB. AMD EXPO, ASUS AEMP, NitroPath DRAM Technology and Server-Grade DRAM Enhancement are available to optimize memory performance, stability and tuning options.

Two PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlots with PCIe Slot Q-Release Switch are available for graphics and expansion cards. Extensive storage options include five M.2 slots directly on the motherboard, two additional PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots via the included ROG Hyper M.2 Card and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots via ROG Q-DIMM.2. This allows up to nine M.2 SSDs in total.

Motherboard cooling uses a full-coverage thermal deck with an all-copper VRM heatsink, a 3mm metal backplate and a special 3D VC M.2 heatsink with a vapor chamber for high-performance PCIe 5.0 SSDs.

The package includes a special ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20. This 360mm AIO cooler uses an Asetek EMMA Gen10 V3Rx pump, a 40mm-thick radiator and an integrated copper cooling block for the processor and critical VRM areas. A distinctive feature is the rotating dual 6.67" AMOLED display with Display Sync-Up support.

Network connectivity is provided by two Realtek 10Gb Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi 7. Extensive USB connectivity includes two USB4 ports with speeds of up to 40Gb/s, twelve rear USB 10Gb/s ports and front USB Type-C connectivity. One front USB Type-C port supports Quick Charge 4+ power delivery up to 60W when connected appropriately.

Audio is handled by ROG SupremeFX 7.1 with the ALC4082 codec and ESS ES9219 QUAD DAC. The motherboard also supports Dolby Atmos and offers an optical S/PDIF output.

For advanced tuning and extreme overclocking, features include LN2 Mode, ProbeIt, Safe Boot, ReTry, BCLK buttons, BIOS Switch, Q-Code, Dual BIOS, BIOS FlashBack and Clear CMOS. ASUS Q-Design features include M.2 Q-Latch, M.2 Q-Release, M.2 Q-Slide, PCIe Q-Release Switch and Q-Antenna.
