The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X is a high-performance Ryzen 9000 Series desktop processor based on the Zen 5 architecture. It features 16 cores and 32 threads, a 4.3 GHz base clock and a maximum boost clock of up to 5.7 GHz. Its high core count makes it suitable for demanding professional applications, rendering, content creation, intensive multitasking and high-performance gaming systems.
The processor features a total of 80 MB of cache, including 64 MB of L3 and 16 MB of L2 cache. Its CPU compute dies are manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process, while the I/O die uses a 6nm process. The unlocked processor supports performance tuning through technologies including AMD Precision Boost 2, Precision Boost Overdrive, Curve Optimizer and Ryzen Master.
The integrated memory controller supports dual-channel DDR5 memory and AMD EXPO performance profiles. PCI Express 5.0 connectivity provides a total of 28 native PCIe lanes, with 24 lanes available for direct device connectivity.
An integrated AMD Radeon Graphics processor with two graphics cores provides basic display functionality without requiring a discrete graphics card. The processor has a default TDP of 170 W and a maximum operating temperature of 95°C. A CPU cooler is not included, and AMD recommends liquid cooling for optimal performance.
