ASUS PRIME B550M-K ARGB is a micro-ATX motherboard designed for builds with AMD Ryzen processors on the AM4 socket.
The AMD B550 chipset provides a modern foundation for gaming, home and work computers. The motherboard supports AMD Ryzen 5000, 5000 G-Series, 4000 G-Series and 3000 processors according to current BIOS support.
Two DIMM slots are available for system memory, supporting up to 64 GB DDR4. Dual-channel architecture and speeds of up to 5100 MHz when overclocked are supported depending on the processor and memory configuration used.
The main graphics slot provides PCIe 4.0 x16 when compatible Ryzen 5000 or Ryzen 3000 processors are used. With Ryzen 5000 G-Series and 4000 G-Series processors, the main slot operates in PCIe 3.0 x16 mode.
Two M.2 slots and four SATA 6 Gb/s ports are available for fast storage. With selected processors, the first M.2 slot supports PCIe 4.0 x4; the second M.2 slot is connected through the AMD B550 chipset and supports both PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA mode.
Rear connectivity includes HDMI and DisplayPort for use with processors equipped with integrated graphics, plus Realtek 1Gb Ethernet, USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, USB 2.0 ports, audio jacks and a combination PS/2 port.
The motherboard also offers an internal USB 3.2 Gen 1 connector with support for a front USB-C port, additional USB headers, 4-pin fan headers and three Addressable Gen 2 headers for ARGB lighting with Aura Sync support.
