Samsung 990 EVO is a high-end M.2 SSD that uses a PCIe 4.0 ×4 interface to deliver excellent performance. This drive is ideal for demanding applications, gaming and everyday use. With sequential read speeds of up to 5,000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 4,200 MB/s, you can accelerate every operation on your PC or laptop.
Improved performance and energy efficiency
Compared with the previous 970 EVO Plus model, the 990 EVO offers up to a 43% performance improvement and up to 70% better energy efficiency. This means longer battery life for laptops and better operating efficiency. The drive also supports Modern Standby, allowing it to switch on or off instantly without losing the internet connection.
Advanced technologies for reliability
Thanks to an advanced heat spreader, the Samsung 990 EVO can dissipate heat effectively and maintain an optimal operating temperature. This ensures high reliability and a long service life. In addition, Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology allows the drive to achieve excellent performance even without dedicated DRAM.
Drive management with Samsung Magician
With Samsung Magician software, you have full control over your SSD. The application lets you easily monitor drive health, perform firmware updates and improve drive performance. The drive is highly reliable, with an endurance of 600 TBW.
