ASRock TRX40 Taichi is a high-end motherboard based on the AMD TRX40 chipset, designed for 3rd generation AMD Ryzen Threadripper with the sTRX4 socket. It is intended primarily for demanding professional use, powerful workstations and compute-intensive applications.
The board supports quad-channel DDR4 memory up to a capacity of 256 GB across eight DIMM slots. For graphics cards and other expansion devices, it offers several PCIe 4.0 x16 slots with the full bandwidth of the TRX40 platform.
For storage, M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 x4 support as well as SATA 6 Gb/s ports for conventional drives are available. Network connectivity includes 10Gb Ethernet, 2.5Gb Ethernet and integrated Wi-Fi 6. The rear panel offers a wide range of modern interfaces including USB-C.
