WD Purple Surveillance 2 TB (model WD23PURZ) is a specially designed HDD for security cameras and DVR/NVR recorders. Thanks to AllFrame 4K technology, it supports smooth video recording at up to 4K resolution without signal loss or interruptions.
The drive runs at a reduced 5400 RPM, contributing to lower power consumption and reduced vibration and noise. It is optimised for continuous operation with up to 64 streams, so it can handle extensive surveillance systems without the risk of dropped frames.
With a SATA III interface offering 6 Gb/s bandwidth and 256 MB internal cache, it quickly writes large volumes of video footage. It is compatible with Windows and Linux systems and supports SMART standards for drive-health monitoring and failure prevention.
