The Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB is a high-performance M.2 2280 NVMe SSD designed for modern gaming PCs, workstations and other demanding systems. It uses a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface and NVMe 2.0 protocol, delivering sequential read speeds of up to 14,700 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 13,400 MB/s.
The drive combines Samsung V-NAND TLC memory with a Samsung in-house controller and 2 GB of low-power LPDDR4X SDRAM cache. Random performance reaches up to 1,850,000 IOPS for reads and 2,600,000 IOPS for writes, providing excellent responsiveness for demanding applications, large datasets and modern games.
The Samsung 9100 PRO supports TRIM, S.M.A.R.T. and Device Sleep and provides hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption with TCG/Opal and IEEE 1667 support. Samsung Magician software can be used for drive management, firmware updates and monitoring.
The 2 TB model is rated for 1,200 TBW with an MTBF of 1.5 million hours. Its standard M.2 2280 form factor makes it suitable for compatible desktops and other devices with an appropriate M.2 slot; a PCIe 5.0 x4 connection is required to achieve its maximum performance.
