Samsung 850 EVO 500GB is an internal 2.5" SSD designed for upgrading desktop computers and notebooks with a SATA interface. Thanks to Samsung V-NAND 3bit MLC memory, Samsung MGX controller and LPDDR3 buffer memory, it offers responsive system operation, fast application loading and stable performance for everyday work.
The drive uses a SATA 6 Gb/s interface and reaches sequential read speeds of up to 540 MB/s and write speeds of up to 520 MB/s. It supports TRIM, Garbage Collection and S.M.A.R.T. and also offers AES 256-bit hardware encryption including TCG/Opal V2.0 and IEEE1667 support.
