MSI PRO Z790-S WIFI is a high-performance ATX motherboard equipped with the Intel® Z790 chipset, designed for 12th-, 13th- and 14th-generation Intel® Core™ processors as well as Pentium® Gold and Celeron® with the LGA 1700 socket. The board supports up to 256 GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory at frequencies up to 6600+ MHz (OC), providing excellent performance for demanding applications and multitasking.
One PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is available for graphics cards, offering twice the bandwidth of the previous generation and enabling maximum utilization of modern graphics cards. The board also features two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for additional expansion cards.
Storage options include two M.2 slots: the first supports PCIe 4.0 x4 and module lengths up to 22110, while the second supports PCIe 4.0 x4/SATA and lengths up to 2280. Four SATA III ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support are also available for traditional hard drives and SSDs.
For network connectivity, integrated Realtek® RTL8125BG 2.5Gb Ethernet is provided, while wireless connectivity is handled by the Intel® Wi-Fi 6E module supporting the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands at speeds up to 2.4 Gbps. The module also offers Bluetooth® 5.3 for peripheral connectivity.
The rear panel offers a wide range of ports, including one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C (20 Gbps), four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (5 Gbps) and two USB 2.0 ports. HDMI™ 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.4 are available for graphics output, allowing modern monitors with resolutions up to 4K to be connected. The integrated Realtek® ALC897 audio codec provides 7.1-channel HD audio with S/PDIF output support.
