MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI is a powerful ATX motherboard equipped with the Intel Z790 chipset, designed for 14th-, 13th- and 12th-generation Intel® Core™ processors as well as Intel® Pentium® Gold and Celeron® processors with the LGA 1700 socket. The board supports up to 256 GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory at frequencies up to 7000+ MHz when overclocked (OC), ensuring high performance for demanding applications and games.

For expansion, the board offers three PCIe x16 slots and one PCIe x1 slot. The main PCIe x16 slot (PCI_E1) supports the PCIe 5.0 standard and provides full x16 bandwidth, ideal for modern graphics cards. The additional slots (PCI_E2, PCI_E3 and PCI_E4) support PCIe 3.0 and 4.0 standards with different bandwidth configurations, enabling flexible system expansion.

Storage options include four M.2 slots for high-speed NVMe SSDs and six SATA III ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support. The M.2 slots support devices up to length 22110 and provide different connection configurations, including PCIe 4.0 x4 and SATA modes, enabling flexible storage options.

The rear panel offers extensive connectivity, including four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port and one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port providing transfer speeds up to 20 Gb/s. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 outputs are available for monitors, supporting resolutions up to 4K at 60 Hz (requires a processor with integrated graphics). Network connectivity is provided by Intel® 2.5Gb LAN and Wi-Fi 6E, delivering fast and stable connections. The audio system is equipped with the Realtek ALC897 codec, providing 7.1-channel HD audio for a high-quality sound experience.
