The MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB is a high-performance graphics card based on the NVIDIA Pascal architecture and GP104-200 graphics processor. It features 1920 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR5 memory connected through a 256-bit interface, making it suitable for gaming, multimedia and graphics-intensive applications.
The card provides several operating profiles. In Gaming Mode, it runs at a 1582 MHz base clock and 1771 MHz boost clock, while OC Mode increases these frequencies to 1607 MHz base and up to 1797 MHz boost. Silent Mode operates at 1506 / 1683 MHz. Effective memory speed reaches up to 8108 MHz in OC Mode.
Cooling is handled by the MSI TWIN FROZR VI system with two TORX fans. Zero Frozr technology completely stops the fans under light loads, allowing quiet operation during less demanding tasks. A solid black backplate increases structural rigidity while complementing the distinctive MSI GAMING design.
Display connectivity consists of 3× DisplayPort 1.4, 1× HDMI 2.0b and 1× DL-DVI-D. Up to four displays can be connected simultaneously, with a maximum digital resolution of 7680 × 4320 pixels. NVIDIA G-SYNC, VR Ready and 2-Way SLI are also supported.
The graphics card has a power consumption of 150 W and requires 1× 8-pin plus 1× 6-pin PCIe power connectors. MSI recommends a 500 W power supply. The card uses a PCI Express 3.0 x16 interface and measures 279 × 140 × 42 mm.
