MSI B560M-A PRO is an mATX motherboard designed for home, office and general-purpose work builds with Intel processors on the LGA1200 socket.
The Intel B560 chipset supports 10th- and 11th-generation Intel Core processors as well as selected Intel Pentium Gold and Celeron processors for the LGA1200 platform.
Two DDR4 slots accommodate up to 64GB of system memory in a dual-channel configuration. The motherboard supports DDR4 memory up to 5200MHz when overclocked, as well as Intel XMP profiles for easier performance tuning.
The main PCIe x16 slot supports up to PCIe 4.0 with 11th-generation Intel processors, while it operates in PCIe 3.0 mode with 10th-generation processors. Two additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots can be used for expansion cards.
Storage can be connected through six SATA 6Gb/s ports or an M.2 slot. With 11th-generation Intel processors, the M.2 slot supports PCIe 4.0 x4, while with 10th-generation processors it supports PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA mode.
Network connectivity is provided by Realtek 8125B 2.5Gb LAN, which offers higher speeds than standard Gigabit networking and is suitable for faster transfers in home or business networks.
Rear HDMI 2.0b and VGA video outputs allow the integrated graphics of a compatible processor to be used. HDMI supports resolutions up to 4K at 60Hz depending on the processor used.
Audio is based on the Realtek ALC897 codec with support for 7.1-channel HD audio.
The motherboard also offers USB 3.2 Gen1 connectivity, internal USB headers, a TPM header, serial port, fan headers and basic service features including a Clear CMOS jumper.
