MSI B250M GAMING PRO is an mATX motherboard designed for gaming, home and work builds with Intel processors on the LGA1151 socket.
The Intel B250 chipset supports 6th- and 7th-generation Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors as well as selected Intel Pentium and Celeron processors for the same platform.
Two DDR4 slots accommodate up to 32GB of system memory in a dual-channel configuration. With 7th-generation Intel processors, the motherboard supports DDR4 2400/2133MHz; with 6th-generation processors, DDR4 2133MHz is supported.
A primary PCIe 3.0 x16 slot is available for the graphics card. Two additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots can be used for expansion cards such as network, audio or other add-on adapters.
Storage can be connected through six SATA 6Gb/s ports or an M.2 slot supporting both PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA modes. The M.2 slot supports 2242, 2260 and 2280 devices, and the motherboard is also ready for Intel Optane Memory.
Rear HDMI, DVI-D and VGA video outputs allow the integrated graphics of a compatible processor to be used. HDMI supports up to 4096 × 2160 px at 30Hz with 7th-generation processors.
Network connectivity is provided by Intel I219-V Gigabit LAN, suitable for a stable wired connection in home networks, offices and online gaming.
Audio is based on the Realtek ALC887 codec with support for 7.1-channel HD audio.
The motherboard also offers USB 3.1 Gen1 connectivity including a rear USB-C port, internal USB headers, an RGB LED header, TPM header and basic diagnostic and service features.
