The Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2400MHz CL11 is a high-performance DDR3 memory kit designed for desktop computers. Its total 16 GB capacity is provided by two 8GB modules, allowing compatible motherboards to take advantage of dual-channel memory operation.
The primary Intel XMP profile configures the memory for DDR3-2400 with CL11-13-14 timings at 1.65 V. A second XMP profile provides DDR3-2133 CL11-13-13 operation at 1.60 V. The default JEDEC profile is programmed for DDR3-1600 with CL11-11-11 timings at 1.50 V.
Each module has an 8 GB capacity, a 2Rx8 organization and a standard 240-pin DIMM interface. The memory is Non-ECC and Unbuffered and is intended for compatible desktop platforms supporting DDR3 memory.
The HyperX Beast series features distinctive black passive heat spreaders and a matching black PCB. Each module measures 46.41 mm in height with the heat spreader installed, which should be considered when pairing the memory with large CPU air coolers.
