The ASUS ROG Thor 1200W Platinum III White Edition 80 PLUS Platinum is a premium fully modular 1200W power supply designed for high-performance gaming PCs and workstations. It complies with the ATX 3.1 standard and is ready for modern graphics cards with a native 16-pin 12V-2x6 connector. 80 PLUS Platinum and Cybenetics Platinum certifications confirm high energy efficiency, while Cybenetics Lambda A++ certification indicates exceptionally low noise levels.
The design incorporates a modern GaN MOSFET, low-ESR Japanese capacitors and high-performance copper pins. GPU-First technology with a patented intelligent voltage stabilizer enables more accurate voltage sensing for the graphics card. This version also includes a special ROG Equalizer 12V-2x6 PCIe cable with GPU-First, designed to better manage thermal stress on the cable and connectors when powering high-performance GPUs.
A signature feature of the ROG Thor series is the magnetic OLED display, which provides power consumption information and can be positioned on either side of the PSU to suit different mounting orientations. Aura Sync enables RGB lighting synchronization with other compatible components. ROG heatsinks, a full-aluminum enclosure, a dual-ball-bearing fan and 0dB technology provide efficient and quiet cooling. Turbo Mode is also available for demanding workloads.
The fully modular design allows only the required cables to be installed for cleaner cable management. Connectivity includes one 24-pin motherboard connector, two 4+4-pin CPU connectors, one 12V-2x6 connector, four 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, seven SATA connectors and six peripheral connectors. OPP, OVP, UVP, SCP, OCP and OTP protection circuits help ensure safe operation.
