ASUS ROG STRIX X870-I GAMING WIFI is a premium Mini-ITX motherboard with the AMD X870 chipset and AM5 socket, designed for powerful compact gaming builds. It supports AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series desktop processors and combines small dimensions with features normally found on significantly larger high-end motherboards.
The 10+2+1-phase power delivery design is ready even for high-performance Ryzen processors. Two DDR5 DIMM slots support Dual Channel, AMD EXPO and high memory speeds when overclocked. A reinforced PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlot with PCIe Slot Q-Release Slim is available for the graphics card.
For fast storage, the motherboard offers two M.2 slots. With a compatible processor, the primary M.2 supports PCIe 5.0 x4, while the second M.2 uses PCIe 4.0 x4. Two SATA 6Gb/s connectors are available through the included ROG FPS Card.
Network connectivity is provided by Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet and modern Wi-Fi 7 supporting the 2.4, 5 and 6GHz bands, complemented by Bluetooth 5.4. Rear connectivity includes, among other things, two USB4 Type-C ports with speeds of up to 40Gb/s and display output support.
A distinctive feature is the external ROG Strix Hive II module. It provides volume control, USB connectivity, Power and FlexKey buttons, Q-LED diagnostics and audio output with an ESS SABRE9260Q converter. This allows some control and audio functions to be moved outside the confined space of the Mini-ITX motherboard.
