ASUS PRIME Z490-A is a premium ATX motherboard designed for demanding users and content creators. It supports 10th generation Intel® Core™ processors with the LGA 1200 socket and features a robust 12+2-phase power delivery with digital VRM for stable performance even when overclocking.
The motherboard supports up to 128 GB of DDR4 memory at frequencies up to 4800 MHz (OC) across four DIMM slots. Storage options include two M.2 slots (PCIe 3.0 x4 / SATA) and six SATA III ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support. Graphics cards can be installed in two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots with support for NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFireX.
The rear panel includes HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, three USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, an RJ-45 LAN port and five audio jacks. Integrated network connectivity is provided by Intel® I225-V 2.5Gb Ethernet. The audio system uses a Realtek S1220A codec with support for 7.1-channel HD audio and premium capacitors.
The motherboard also features Aura Sync RGB lighting with support for addressable LED strips, Smart Fan 5 with hybrid headers and temperature sensors, an integrated I/O shield and support for Intel® Optane™ Memory.
