The ASRock Z390M Pro4 is a Micro ATX motherboard based on the Intel Z390 chipset, designed for 8th and 9th generation Intel Core processors using the LGA 1151 socket. It combines compact dimensions, a quality power delivery system and extensive expansion options, making it a suitable foundation for gaming, professional and home computer builds.
The Intel Z390 chipset and 10-phase power delivery design provide stable power for compatible processors with a TDP of up to 95 W. The motherboard uses Digi Power digital power control, high-quality 45A power chokes and ASRock Super Alloy design elements. It also supports unlocked Intel K-series processors and overclocking options through UEFI settings.
System memory is accommodated by four DDR4 DIMM slots supporting dual-channel operation and a total capacity of up to 128 GB. Standard supported frequencies range from 2133 to 2666 MHz, while overclocking allows memory speeds of up to 4300+ MHz. Intel XMP 2.0 technology enables easy configuration of compatible memory profiles.
PCI Express 3.0 expansion slots include two physical x16 slots and two x1 slots. The primary PCIe 3.0 x16 slot is primarily intended for a dedicated graphics card, while the secondary slot operates at a maximum of x4 electrical bandwidth. The motherboard supports AMD CrossFireX technology and also includes a dedicated M.2 Key E slot for a compatible Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module.
Storage connectivity includes two Ultra M.2 slots and six SATA III 6 Gb/s connectors. Both M.2 slots support high-speed PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSDs, while the second slot also supports SATA M.2 SSDs. When the M2_2 slot is occupied, SATA3_4 and SATA3_5 connectors are disabled. RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, Intel Rapid Storage Technology and Intel Optane are supported.
The integrated Intel I219V Gigabit LAN controller provides wired network connectivity at speeds of up to 1 Gb/s, with Wake-on-LAN and PXE support. The Realtek ALC892 audio codec delivers up to 7.1-channel HD audio, complemented by high-quality ELNA audio capacitors and surge protection.
The rear panel features USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A and Type-C ports with speeds of up to 10 Gb/s, four USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, an RJ-45 network connector, analog audio jacks and HDMI 1.4, DVI-D and VGA display outputs. The display outputs are available only when using a processor with integrated graphics. Internal headers allow additional USB ports, cooling fans, front-panel audio and other system components to be connected.
With dimensions of 244 × 244 mm, the ASRock Z390M Pro4 fits computer cases supporting the Micro ATX form factor. It offers a practical combination of expandability, fast storage connectivity, stable power delivery and versatile interfaces for systems based on the 8th and 9th generation Intel Core platform.
