The ASRock Intel Arc B580 Challenger 12GB OC is a powerful graphics card based on the Intel Xe2-HPG architecture. It features 20 Xe cores and 160 XMX engines designed to accelerate AI workloads among other tasks. Support for Intel XeSS 2, ray tracing and DirectX 12 Ultimate makes the card well suited for modern gaming at Full HD and QHD resolutions.
The graphics processor operates at a 2740 MHz clock speed. The card is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory running at 19 Gbps across a 192-bit memory interface. It connects to the motherboard through a PCI Express 4.0 x8 interface.
The cooling system uses two Striped Axial fans designed to enhance airflow through the heatsink. 0dB Silent Cooling allows the fans to stop under light loads, reducing operating noise. The design also incorporates heatpipes, a 2oz Copper PCB and a sturdy metal backplate that contributes to structural rigidity and thermal performance.
Intel XeSS 2 takes advantage of the Xe2 architecture and XMX engines for AI-powered upscaling, frame generation and latency-reduction technologies. The graphics card also features a modern media engine with support for formats including AV1, extending its capabilities for content creation and video processing.
Display connectivity consists of 3× DisplayPort 2.1 and 1× HDMI 2.1a. The primary DisplayPort supports up to UHBR13.5, while the remaining two DisplayPort outputs support up to UHBR10. Up to four displays and a maximum digital resolution of 7680 × 4320 pixels are supported. Power is supplied through a single 8-pin PCIe connector, with a recommended 650 W power supply.
